La Joya Juarez-Lincoln High School

The JLHS JROTC “Husky Battalion” proudly announces the selection of Cadet Derrick Delgado as the “Cadet of the Month” for September. He competed against 7 other cadets from throughout the battalion before a board of senior cadet leadership. The monthly competition requires selected cadets to go before a formal board to answer questions pertaining to ranks, archery, marksmanship, drill and ceremony, chain of command and leadership. According to the board president, Cadet Delgado excelled in all areas and demonstrated strong leadership potential and motivation to advance within the corps of cadets.
