The Juarez Lincoln JROTC “Husky Battalion” promoted three of its cadets on Valentine’s Day. All Cadets receiving promotions have demonstrated strong leadership and the ability to perform at a higher level of responsibility.
Cadet Captain Diana Castillo was promoted to Cadet Major. She is currently serving her 3rd year in JROTC This year she has served as the Husky Battalion Executive Officer (2nd highest position in JROTC). She has also served as a colorguard commander, a company commander, a First Sergeant, a member of the PT and Raider team and a member of the armed color guard. Diana is dedicated to the ideals of JROTC and consistently demonstrates outstanding leadership.
Cadet Captain Anna Grijalva was promoted to Cadet Major. She is currently serving her 2rd year in JROTC This year she has served as the Husky S-3, Operations Officer, responsible for the planning and coordination of all JROTC events to include competitions, practices and special events. She has also participated in color guard, PT, Sabers and Raider team and as the S-1 (Personnel Officer, responsible for all awards, promotions and administrative actions) and she has also served as a First Sergeant. She has unlimited potential and a strong commitment to the Husky Battalion.
Angela Castillo was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on February 14th, 2024. She is new to the JROTC Program but her motivation and enthusiasm have earned her this accolade. Angela is a pleasant addition to the Husky Battalion.
