Imagine having morning practice at 6:40 AM, heading to your full day of classes, which include multiple AP classes, then staying after school for another 4 hours of rehearsal? That’s the reality for Senior Sujei Gracia. She serves as 2nd Lt. in the Silver Stars Drill Team and Trumpet Section Leader in the Husky Band.
There are four other girls who also put in the long hours of practice, Stephanie Garcia, Evelyn Torres, Betsi Lopez, & Iris Gonzalez are members of the Sterling Colorguard and Silver Stars Drill Team and hold at least one leadership position in one of the organizations. Sujei says that even though it is a lot of work, and takes a good work ethic, she knows there is always something to look forward to.
